WOW! I am blown away by the positive response and feedback from my announcement yesterday about launching into this new venture. I'd be remiss if I didn't take a minute to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness! To those who reached out personally, those who liked and shared my page and those who just gave a thumbs up... THANK YOU! Thank you! THANK YOU!!
Never before have I felt so good about taking such a big risk. This morning, when I was dropping my daughter off at school (smiling ear to ear because I get to drop my daughter off at school!!), I saw a friend who was helping me drive Giana to and from daycare to school each day. My friend said to Giana, "where have you been?". I looked up and smiled and said, "she has her momma back". My friend smiled back and said "it feels good, doesn't it?" And at that moment I realized the biggest sense of pride. This journey is so much bigger than my passion for making crafts, or something to do until the next thing comes along. This is freedom. This is me taking back my time so that I CAN drop my daughter off at school, and be there to pick her back up after school. This is the opportunity to ensure that I never miss another soccer game or tumbling class!
So today, I'm working on some business basics... setting up my budget, creating my strategic plan and shipping orders from last night, all of the things that I learned from the corporate world. Oh, and making some sense out of Twitter! The only thing I looked at on Twitter is what OJ had to say about AB's antics... haha!
